Teaching Schedule: Mondays at 10:30am (Gentle Yoga), Tuesdays at noon & Thursdays at 6:30am.
Elizabeth came to yoga through a series of journeys. A serious dancer for many years, her ability to perform declined after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Craving the mental peace and stability movement once gave her, she turned to yoga, slowly rehabilitating herself through a new approach to her body: respect. Since regaining strength, yoga has continued to mirror whatever challenges her life presents with an equal amount of support and guidance.
Elizabeth completed her 200-hr yoga teacher training with Tula, holds an MFA in poetry, and is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who is endlessly fascinated by the many modes our bodies interact with the world through food, the environment, and with one another. Her teaching philosophy aims to cultivate attention, intelligent alignment, and self-compassion within students. Using her dance background, one can expect dynamic movement with a focus on the subtle and consistent energy occurring even while in stillness. Elizabeth hopes to create a supportive space for reuniting the body and mind in balance, without judgement.
