Teaching Schedule: Substitute teacher.
Marybeth’s yoga journey began in an effort to find physical wellness as well as balance and self-care in her role as a high school English teacher. Growing up as a dancer, she found that developing a yoga self-practice felt like home; after noticing the personal physical, psychological, and emotional benefits, she knew her role as an educator was shifting to focus on bringing mindfulness and yoga to others. She completed her 95-hour children’s yoga teacher training with Mission Propelle in 2017 and fell in love with the combination of self care and empowerment that yoga offers for children of all ages. So, she continued learning and pursued her 200 hour RYT at Tula Yoga Studio in 2019 to share this transformative personal practice with others.
Marybeth’s adult classes offer a vinyasa style flow with a focus on connecting breath, mind, and body. Her classes strike a balance between effort and ease, and her aim is to foster a supportive environment that encourages students to discover their own yoga path while developing self-awareness and self-acceptance.
Her kids yoga classes (K-12) combine asana and pranayama with social emotional learning, literacy skills, and games. The main goal is to empower each yogi to treat their mind, their body, and the people around them with peace, kindness, and respect.
