Yoga for Specialized Populations: Making Yoga More Accessible and Fun for All

Time to bust the "yogi" stereotype for good! Learn how you can help make the practice of yoga more accessible and inclusive for specialized populations, such as larger bodies, advancing age and other commonly encountered conditions. This training session will cover teaching and practice philosophy, approach, room setup/atmosphere, class structure, and demonstration and practice of poses and other key yoga elements. The basic Sun Salutation sequence and a range of yoga poses from various reclining, seated, hands and knees, and standing positions will be addressed along with modification techniques and props.
