SomaYoga for Desk Life
A 6-Week Series for Desk and Work-From-Home Bodies and Minds
Modern work asks our bodies to sit for long periods, move very little, and then perform mentally demanding tasks back-to-back. Over time, this can show up as wrist and hand discomfort, tight shoulders, low back pain, fatigue, and a sense of nervous system overload.
This six-week Soma Yoga series is designed specifically for people who spend much of their day at a desk or working from home. The practices are gentle, slow, and practical, with an emphasis on awareness, choice, and nervous system regulation rather than stretching or effort.
Each Friday at noon, we will explore somatic practices that help restore ease to commonly stressed areas such as the wrists, hands, shoulders, neck, hips, and lower back. We will also work with seated posture and simple adjustments for desk setup, offering realistic ways to support your body throughout the workday without needing special equipment.
Beyond the physical body, this series will include tools for nervous system support, including brief practices to reset before challenging conversations, meetings, or transitions, and ways to create simple self-care rituals that fit into a work-from-home schedule.
This series is ideal for anyone looking for sustainable, accessible practices they can return to during the workweek. No yoga experience is required.
